Elen Kaspari, together with her mother, run a wholesale seed business somewhere near Zbaszyn. Fira met her in 1934 and they became close friends. Elen, sometimes called Helen by Fira, came from German Jews. When she visited Poznan, she met with Fira at the Melamedzons’ place at Wroniecka 12, or in a cafe. They were also together in Warsaw, which is documented in photos.
Kaspari was a few years older than Fira. She wasn’t successful in looking for her future husband. When Fira was leaving Poland in 1939, Elen was still single.
